The Benemérita Biblioteca Nacional and the Academia de Geografía e Historia de Costa Rica invite the public to visit the exhibition “Tribute to the master Hilda Chen Apuy”, which will take place from November 6 to 30 in the exhibition hall of the library.
Hilda Chen Apuy (1919-2018) was one of the pioneers of modern painting in Costa Rica, and one of the founders of the Asociación Costarricense de Artistas Visuales. Her work is characterized by experimentation, originality and expressiveness, and has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, both national and international.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with free admission. It is a unique opportunity to appreciate and pay tribute to one of the masters of Costa Rican painting.
