“I, the worst of all: the poetry of the image” invites you to enjoy the dialogue between fragments of texts by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and the interpretation of 40 artists from Grabado Mujer. Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz was a colonial Mexican writer, philosopher, composer and poet of the Baroque period, as well as a Hieronymite nun, nicknamed “The Tenth Muse” and “The Phoenix of America” by her contemporary critics. The exhibition celebrates the centenary of the Costa Rican Academy of Language, the cultural association that promotes, studies and appreciates the Spanish language and the literary, philological and linguistic productions written in this language.
Admission is free, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm, at the Center for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage Costa Rica. It will be on display until December 8, 2023.
