We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your preference and loyalty, and to inform you about the holidays that will apply in Costa Rica during the next year.
According to the Labor Code and the current laws, the mandatory paid holidays are the following:
- January 1: New Year
- March 28 and 29: Holy Thursday and Friday
- April 11: Juan Santamaría Day (moved to Monday, April 15)
- May 1: Labor Day
- July 25: Annexation of the Party of Nicoya (moved to Monday, July 29)
- August 15: Assumption of the Virgin and Mother’s Day (moved to Monday, August 19)
- September 15: Independence Day
- December 25: Christmas Day
The non-mandatory paid holidays are the following:
- August 2: Day of Our Lady of the Angels
- August 31: Day of the Black Person and Afro-Costa Rican Culture
- December 1: Day of the Abolition of the Army
These holidays are an opportunity to enjoy the cultural, historical and natural richness of our country, as well as to share with family and friends.
