What is it?

"Autopsy of a Mermaid" is a true story that reaches the stage under the gaze of Andy Gamboa, its creator, director and performer, where the characters and the dramaturgy are easily found in our everyday image.

It is captured in the streets of a capital that has seen as much as our eyes what we can all identify: the grandmother who does not stop sentencing, the tireless mother who seeks, the father who still does not understand what she did and a Mermaid who understands that the path that awaits you to return home will not be easy to find. There is a trail of stones and thorns that must be crossed.

This theatrical piece shows a latent and powerful reality, but it is also the story of many and many who have struggled to gain visibility in their struggle not to extinguish their lives by being born in a different body and by defending their lives as transsexuals.

When and where?

The season will be held at the Teatro 1887 with performances on November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sundays 6 p.m.

Tickets for sale:

Tickets will cost ₡7500 general admission and ₡4000 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Melico Salazar Popular Theater box office here.
